Essence of China 



Beijing, Xian and Shanghai are the three most frequently visited cities of China. Most of Beijing’s sightseeing spots are quite large, so you spend more time on walking. Xian has such a long history that you spare more time on the guide’s talking. Shanghai is a modern and commercial city where you engage yourself in shopping.

Itinerary – 8 Days/7 Nights Beijing (3N), Xian (2N) & Shanghai (2N)

Day01 Arrive Beijing

Upon arrival into Beijing Capital International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel with rest of the day free.

Day02 Beijing (B/L /SD )

The first stop of your full day tours is the Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Followed by visit to the massive Forbidden City, which, built during 1405-1420 and also known as the Palace Museum, is consisted of endless halls and palaces which is generally divided into political, living and enjoyment area. In the afternoon visit China’s largest temple and altar complex as well as the city’s symbol - the Temple of Heaven with shopping at the Hongqiao Market. Tonight enjoy China’s No. 1 specialty – the Beijing Roast Duck Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day03 Beijing (B/L)

You will visit the Ming Tombs and its Sacred Way, also called the Way of Spirit this morning. From where you travel further northeast to have the highlight of your trip, as you will visit the Great Wall at the Mutianyu section where you will have barbecued lunch as a local fishing farm.

Day04 Beijing – Xian (B/L)

In the morning visit the Summer Palace, formed largely by water and favored by royal families in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 AD). Take an afternoon flight to Xian, also known as Chang’an (Ever-lasting Peace) and the most important city in China’s northwest region.

Day05 Xian (B/L/SD)

Another highlight of your trip will be the Terra Cotta Warriors & Horses that are located in the city’s eastern suburb. Once buried underground for 2000 years and found during local farmers’ sinking of well, it is absolutely a shock to all viewers. Your afternoon tour includes the Great Mosque that is one of the four most famous ones in China and the ancient City Wall. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in the evening.

Day06 Xian – Shanghai (B/L)

In the morning visit the Provincial Museum devoting largely to the history of the Silk Road and one of the first modern museums in the country and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda that was originally built 1,300 years ago to house Buddhist scriptures brought back from India. Take an afternoon flight to Shanghai .

Day07 Shanghai (B/L)

Your full day tours today start with the Shanghai Museum, the best of its kind in China. Continue on to the Jade Buddha Temple which was named after the two pieces of white jade statues from Burma. Then you will visit the Yu Garden with its intricate design and complete with pavilions, lakes, bridges and rocks. Enjoy the world-class Acrobatic Show at the Grand Theatre in the evening.

Day08 Depart Shanghai (B)

You will be free for own exploration before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
