Glimpses of China 

The following eight cities, some large and some small, represent almost all regions and show different aspects of China.
 
•  Chengdu is the capital of “Heavenly State”, habitat of giant pandas and city of cotton-rose hibiscus;

•  “Up in the heaven there is paradise, down the earth there is Hangzhou”. The city is still famous for its Dragon Well tea and silk products.

•  Mt. Huangshan is regarded by many as China’s most beautiful mountain which is well known for its exotic pine trees, peculiar rocks, sea of clouds and hot springs.

•  The holy city of Lhasa is the hear and soul of Tibet, the abode of the Dalai Lamas, and an object of devout pilgrimage.

Day01 Arrive Beijing

Upon arrival into Beijing International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day will be free at leisure.

Day02 Beijing (B/L)

After breakfast at hotel, have full day city orientation tours today. First stop will be the extensive Tiananmen Square which witnessed many historical incidents and the Forbidden City that has numerous halls and palaces. Visit the city’s most scenic park - the Summer Palace and drive by the Bird’s Nest and Water Cubic in the afternoon.

Day03 Beijing (B/L)

In the morning travel by road for around 1.5 hours to the north suburb to see the Ming Tombs which were built for 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644 AD). Enjoy highlight of your trip in the afternoon by climbing the Mutianyu Great Wall which lies further up to the northeast.

Day04 Beijing (B/L/SD)

Take the relaxing Hutong tour in the morning. Riding on rickshaw along the zigzag narrow lanes, you will see the old Bell Tower which was used to announce time, local people’s home to get a glimpse of their living conditions, and Prince Gong’s Palace. In the afternoon see the Temple of Heaven where royal families worshipped gods and prayed for good harvests. It is also a masterpiece of excellent craftsmanship. Finally visit the Lama Temple which is one of the most influential temples of its kind outside of Tibet before enjoying the Beijing Duck Dinner in the evening.

Day05 Depart Beijing (B)

You will be transferred to the airport for onward flight.
